About the venue
Tropicana Club, known as Le Trop’ by regulars, is a beachside institution in Rayol-Canadel, set facing the Îles d’Or. Since 1965, this Mediterranean house has cultivated a simple, lasting art of living, built around the beach, the restaurant, the Cabanon, and a bar with its feet in the sand.
The place keeps the rare charm of seaside houses with real history, without trying too hard to prove it. Guests come to settle into a sunbed, enjoy a long lunch, stop by the Cabanon, order a drink, go back for a swim, or simply let the day unfold in a very Var-inspired setting.
Access is also one of Tropicana Club’s real strengths. The beach can be reached from Le Canadel, via the chemin des pignes, or directly from the sea thanks to the pontoon. For boaters, being able to arrive by tender gives the venue a true Riviera feel, both practical and elegant.
On the beach side, the establishment focuses on well-executed essentials: teak sunbeds, umbrellas, attentive service, swimming in the clear waters of Le Canadel, and a supervised bathing area facing the shoreline. The whole setting feels comfortable, lively, and well kept, without slipping into the overly polished atmosphere of a standardized beach club.
