On Jalan Toya Ning II, in Ungasan, on the southern tip of the Bukit Peninsula, EYWA Retreat sits at the heart of the Uluwatu area, 8-10 minutes from Melasti Beach and 10-15 minutes from Bingin and Padang Padang. The estate is built around fourteen lumbungs, traditional Balinese rice barns reimagined as private stays, spread across dense tropical gardens.
Each lumbung comes with its own private pool or plunge pool, built around privacy rather than a shared pool deck. The retreat draws on the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, the balance between the spiritual, the human and nature, and can be booked as a fully private estate for both stays and weddings.
The approach here is a quiet, eco-minded retreat rather than a lively day club, built for anyone after the Bukit without the buzz of its busiest coastal addresses.
