Atmosphere at Belles Rives
The name speaks for itself. Everything is beautiful on this shore. The crystal-clear water, the surrounding greenery, and this sumptuous Palace, perfectly complementing the stunning setting in which it lies. Belles Rives is a beach, a lounge bar, a restaurant, and a hotel. All of this right by the most beautiful water. The sea, dancing in front of you. From a pier ready for sliding, lying on a sunbed, sitting on a rock, or during a delightful family meal. It’s for these beautiful reflections that we come to see it, and that it gazes back at us, dancing through its gentle waves.
Where there are so many colors, there’s always a rich history. Belles Rives witnessed the birth of water skiing on this unique beach, now home to one of the world’s most prestigious schools. This activity quickly became popular among the first Americans vacationing on our beautiful French Riviera, and the beach became THE jet-set destination, attracting numerous celebrities. After the Roaring Twenties, a family story continues, preserving the soul of this mythical spot.
Let’s keep it short but sweet. You won’t be bored at Belles Rives because there’s something for everyone: yoga, massages, water sports, or body and facial treatments. Well-being reigns on this shore, enchanted by the Azure culture that reminds us of the discovery and pleasure of sea baths from another era.
Sunbeds at Belles Rives
"Exactly under the sun"—the magnificent Belles Rives beach charms us with its navy blue parasols and cream-colored soft sunbeds, laid on the warm, fine sand, not just anywhere, but under the sun. A quality beach service is offered near the lounge or directly on the sunbeds, where you can enjoy homemade pastries and detox fruit bowls in the cool shade of the warm sun. The blue, the white; an authentic and iodized marine universe, like the breeze that intoxicates your days.
Decoration at Belles Rives
It’s a gentle mix of flavors that takes us on a journey at Belles Rives, on a wooden three-masted schooner or a film set from the 1970s. In this vintage spirit, imagine a pin-up skiing with the wind in her hair, facing the Lérins Islands and the Estérel massif from the seaside resort of Juan les Pins. Are you there yet?
Francis Scott Fitzgerald under the bougainvillea, sitting on the hotel terrace overlooking Cap d’Antibes. "Tender is the night" he wrote, inspired by the beauty of the nature before him.
Still not there? Then let’s talk about cinema because it’s an entire setting that dazzles us, with director’s chairs for dining, made of wood and cream-colored fabric: BR in the director's seat. A little nod or a preserved setting as a souvenir from the filming of the British series *The Persuaders*, starring Tony Curtis and Roger Moore, who filmed some scenes here, including one on skis… Yes, you read that right, they rode the waves from the old Belles Rives boat.
Here is an extraordinary setting with a pier for gliding, an idyllic beach, and a spread of restaurants under the Art Deco facade of this 5-star hotel. From the color of the sand by the beach to the Virginia creeper on the terrace upstairs, you’ll experience a simply magical moment, for both the eyes and the taste buds. Speaking of taste buds…
